Huw thinks the postcard was sent in 1915 as the stamp is a George V halfpenny and the postmark looks like 1915 but is difficult to see. We don't know what date the photograph is from but probably same date.
On the centre left of the photograph you can clearly see the chemical works with what appears to be a chimney. Huw believes the 'works' stopped soon after the end of the first war. None of the original buildings still exist and Huw's house is now on the site.
Those with local knowledge may also note the open fields behind Cnwc y Llwyn and around Lan Meredydd and Trebeddau, which are all now afforested.
