This is a short Welsh language video about Huw Denman's efforts to conserve the red squirrel in mid Wales and Carmarthenshire. In the video he describes the situation of the red squirrel and how the alien grey squirrel has caused the red squirrel to become almost extinct in Wales, except for a few conifer woods in north east Carmarthenshire and a few other locations. He explains that the true habitat of the red squirrel is the native broad leaved woodlands of hazel and oak. The video first appeared on S4C on the afternoon programme Wedi 3 (After 3) and was produced by local production company Tinopolis from Llanelli. Note:- The content is excellent and will be of interest to anyone wishing to learnmore about the Red Squirrel.
